ROBOTECH - The Shadow Chronicles

Finally... after 20+ years, ROBOTECH is back, and hopefully to stay! Harmony Gold released the first "new" Robotech animation since 1986's Robotech II: The Sentinels with an all new full featured film, "Robotech Shadow Chronicles."

Woo! I had to get it right away after work and although it has a different feeling to it, its still wetting my appetite for more! If you're a Robotech fan and haven't heard the news, this is the story following the end of the Third Robotech War when the Invid leave Earth. It recaps alot of that war and then goes on to the search for the SDF3 and Admiral Rick Hunter.

The CGI addition is a bit weird at times, and works real well other times. I think they would be better off doing all the transforming mecha in standard cell-based drawings, but it does work OK in computer 3D form.

The story answers some things that were always question marked at the end of the show, but theres plenty more question marks to think about too. Hopefully this is just the beginning of either another (set of) movie(s) or an entire new television series.

Exciting! yay!

As you can see, I am a big time ROBOTECH nerd, and this was, by far, my most favorite and memorable cartoon/anime/tv show of my childhood and early teen years. Heck, it still is.

Magne-Traction

Boeing reported their big, HUGE, 2006 sales and with that also announced their employee bonuses! wooo! I've already taken a little chunk out of it and bought myself a new snowboard...

After alot a few years of wanting to get the Burton Custom snowboard, I was all set to get it. I found some great pricing online too because many stores are closing out their 2006/2007 line already (this early??). But after looking around, I was like... hmm maybe I should check out some of the other boards out there, specifically the local companies, Gnu, K2, and Lib Tech. Well, I did some more research reading some online mags and reviews and ended up wanting to get a Gnu or Lib Tech board with Magne Traction. This was some neat and innovative new edge technology which adds 7 additional points of contact in the form of a wavey edge pattern on the snowboard, instead of the traditional flat straight edge. Interesting and weird? Well after reading many reviews and user comments, I did not hear a single bad word about this new "technology." In fact, it was nothing but brilliance, and given that the place I like to board alot is Snoqualmie/Alpental, it'll Post Options be nice to try it out on groomed and hard packed/ice conditions. Anyway there's alot more info on the company website: http://lib-tech.com/snowboards/magneTraction.htm

And the good deal I found was on TightBoards.com

Paranoia.

It's amazing how paranoid people are these days about just about everything. There's certain things to be scared of, but we all just can't live our lives scared of every little thing. And this recent thing that happened in Boston, mostly, and 9 other cities, is just flat out hilarious. I find it totally amusing, call me in-sensitive if you must. But its Aqua Teen Hunger Force!! It's a Mooninite neon light sign that was hung to advertise a television show, and the whole city of Boston shuts down. They even blow one up! haha! I saw one of these signs at a local restaurant near my office. It's great. I want one myself, really bad. I love this show, but even if it weren't this show, I don't think a neon sign should cause so much commotion - Notice, Boston was the only city that even bothered to care about these signs. The other cities didn't even bother til after Boston made a big stink about it all. Anyway, so what do you think about the afro hair cut?
